CALISTUS OBI LOSES ACTING DG OF NIMASA POSITION TO HARUNA JAURO

Calistus Obi handing over to Haruna Jauro
Last week, Tectono Business Review reported that Barrister Calistus Obi had taken over as the acting Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) following the directive by the Federal Government to Dr. Ziakede Patrick Akpobolokemi to hand over Administration. Right? After some days, we gathered that Mr. Haruna Jauro had taken over from Barrister Obi as the acting DG. Up till today, we have not found out why Barrister Obi lost that position just within a few days. It is being said in some quarters that it is because he is not Hausa man. Tectono Business Review wonders why that exalted position was given to him in the first place since is not from the northern part of the country.

While promising his unalloyed loyalty to Mr. Jauro, Barrister Obi advised employees of NIMASA to give him maximum support, assuring them that the excellent working relationship between the two of them would continue in order to lift the agency to greater heights. Wow!!! This is a true spirit of sportsmanship.

In his speech, Mr. Jauro thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity given him to serve the nation in the new capacity and thanked the NIMASA staff members for their commitment to duty and craved the cooperation of all for the realisation of the mandate of the agency.
