Report reaching Tectono Business Review has it that Procter & Gamble Nigeria (P&G), a consumer goods brand, has started the operation of an online store that highlights up to 250 products under its stable.

We gathered that the online store, which is powered by Gloo.ng, is under the Gloo.ng SuperBrands programme. This initiative is coming two years after the strategic alliance between the two brands aimed at enabling convenience and the delivery of more value to P&G’s customers with Gloo.ng’s platform for online retailing of Fast Moving Consumer Goods.

According to Gloo.ng, the SuperBrands programme was a service being rolled out exclusively for first class multinational and fast moving consumer goods brands. To celeberate the launch of the online store, P&G said it had lined up promotional offers exclusively available on the online store for its customers.

The Chief Executive Officer of Gloo.ng, Dr. Olumide Olusanya, said: “The online store has built a fast growing platform specially targeted and excelling at serving the same customer base and market that P&G serves, using the same core brand values and principles that have made P&G the globally acclaimed brand that it is. We believe that the brand Gloo.ng has built resonates with that of P&G.”

Dr. Olusanya said that the two firms had been in a strategic alliance for over two years and that the partnership was expected to continue in the long term. According to him, he expected the partnership to evolve to deeper levels as Gloo.ng scales to realise its vision of building Nigeria’s biggest supermarket brand.

He said: “The same level of excellent and unbeatable customer service that the Gloo.ng brand is now known for will be extended to this.”
