PRESS RELEASE: GOVERNMENT APPROVED LPG BOTTLING PLANTS OWNERS – BEWARE!!!

The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) is the umbrella body of LPG Bottling Plants duly licensed by the statutory empowerment Government Agencies to carry out the business of safe bottling of LPG (Cooking Gas).

With the increase awareness of LPG usage and consumption in the country, the Nigerian LPG industry is creating massive investment opportunities while witnessing rapid expansion and its attendant safety challenges.

NALPGAM, mindful of the above has continued to advocate and compliment the effort of credible stakeholders in the industry with the context of offering robust and quantitative advocacy towards adequate adherence to stipulated Government guidelines and precautionary safety procurement. NALPGAM thus remain firm to this commitment within the operational framework laid down by Government regulators.

In other to prevent a further disorientation of the entire working operational framework of the industry, NALPGAM is compelled to issue this advisory note to all her members about the discovered plan by some individuals and their cohorts who are impostors acting as consultants to various Government agencies claiming to be representing the interest of the entire LPG industry operators in general.

Members should not entertain any form of visitation or be intimidated by any group of persons or organizations under whatever guise parading themselves as DPR or SON certified agents in partnership with those regulatory agencies.

Consequently, all NALPGAM members nationwide are by this notice assured of honest and transparent representation in today’s leadership of the Association which is also adequately informed and positioned to discourse all forms of exploitation of its members by few self-seeking individuals who have no mandate to represent NALPGAM core interest or that of the Nigeria LP Gas industry in general.
