BEWARE
The attention of Ecobank Nigeria Limited (“Our Client”) has been
drawn to attempt, through a scheme known as “The
Grank Lake”, to dispose of parts or whole of 117,209
acres of land located at Ogombo Village,
Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos registered as No. 35 Page 35 Volume 2318 at the Land Registry, Alausa,
Ikeja, Lagos and 57,806 acres of land
located at Ogombo Village, Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos registered as
No. 36 Page 36 Volume 2318 at the Land Registry, Alausa, Ikeja (the “Property”)
to certain persons by Bukas Kasmal International
Limited, Gran Imperio Group and Imperial Mortgage Bank Limited.
The Properties belong to our
Client. Our Client acquired title to the Properties following the Federal High
Court-sanctioned merger between our client and the now defunct Oceanic Bank International Plc in 2011.the order
of High Court of Lagos State made in 2014 which Bukas Kasmal International
Limited relies on as purportedly conferring title to the Properties on it is
the subject of an appeal pending at the Court of Appeal, Lagos in Ecobank Nigeria Limited v. Bukas Kasmal International Limited
et al. (Appeal No. CA/L/517M/2014).
For the avoidance of doubt, the
Properties are not for sale and the said Bukas
Kasmal International Limited, Gran Imperio Group and Imperial Mortgage Bank
Limited have no authority whatsoever to offer the Properties for sale. The general
public is hereby warned not to enter into any transaction with respect to the
Properties with the said Bukas Kasmal International Limited, Gran Imperio Group
and Imperial Mortgage Bank Limited or persons purporting to represent them.
