WHY DO UNDERAGE CHILDREN LEARN KARATE THESE DAYS?

In Lagos State, and some other states, it is common to see Karate Academies where underage children train virtually on a daily basis. It is really necessary? DONALD TRUMP’S VICTORY: LESSONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Donald Trump
The United States (U.S.) presidential election has been won by the candidate most of the pollsters predicted would lose it, Mr. Donald John Trump. Politics is over and machinery for serious governance is being set in motion. Quite unlike in this milieu where official procrastination is sometimes legendary, barely a week after election, most of the president’s key men including Chief of Staff to White House and Chief Strategist have been named. Even the cabinet is steadily taking shape. It is a tribute to the influence of democracy in the U.S. that despite the tempestuous nature of the election, protests against the same exercise in many parts, there is no threat to the set date of inauguration of the country’s 45th president.

Ahead of drilling and planned 3D seismic acquisitions, Tullow has decided to dilute part of its equity positions in the C-3, C-10 and C-18 licences. He said that money and “a solid group of backers” is the starting point, and this leads to investment in assets, technology and people.

RECHRISTENING PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL (PIB) AS PETROLEUM REFORM BILL (PRB)

Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum
Reports that the Federal Government had rechristened the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) as Petroleum Reform Bill (PRB) is tragic in the extreme. That is a pointer to the fact that indeed some shadowy stakeholders seem hell-bent on sabotaging passage of a bill that is at the heart of reviving the mainstay of the Nigerian economy – oil and gas exploration business. Besides, what is in a name that seems to have foreclosed the prospect of passing the bill in its original form? It is also unclear which version of the bill has been renamed since there have seen many versions of the most retouched bill since 1999 when this republic began.
