ILLEGAL OCCUPATION OF NIGERIAN PORT AUTHORITY’S LAND AT IKORODU

NIGERIAN PORTS AUTHORITY
26/28, Marina, Lagos
This is to inform the general public and the un-authorized occupants of the Nigerian Ports Authority’s land at Ebute Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos State that all the lands adjoining the fenced portion of the Ikorodu lighter belongs to the Nigerian Ports Authority.

The entire land measuring 33.411 hectares in extent was acquired for port development purposes under the Public Lands Acquisition Act. It is on record that this land was duly acquired and compensation was paid on the economic crops and other improvements to the owners of the land through the Lagos State Government.

By this publication, notice is hereby given to the public and the un-authorized occupants of the Authority’s land that the organization with a view to avoiding the mass demolition of illegal structures on the encroached portion of the land, has decided to give opportunity to all illegal occupants to regularize their occupation with the Nigerian Ports Authority.

In this vein, all illegal occupants of the subject land are advised to contact: The General Manager, Physical Planning and Development, 26/28, Marina, Lagos for information on the regularization process within four (4) weeks from the date of this publication.
