Senator Ayogu Eze
The Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. Alex Urama, has called the attention of party members in the council to the recent defection of a two-times senator and erstwhile governorship aspirant under the platform of the political party, Senator Ayogu Eze, to the national ruling party, All Progressives’ Congress (APC)

In his speech on the 18th of August, 2018 during the local government party meeting, Hon. Urama referred to Senator Eze’s defection as an act as a hopelessness and urged party members to stay put in PDP.

An erstwhile minority chief whip in the House of Representatives, Ambassador Fidel Ayogu (Onwa), in his own speech, encouraged the party members to remain faithful to PDP as “Enugu state is a PDP state that has a performing governor.” He also advised members at the grassroots not to allow any body to mislead them into another political party to avoid regrets after 2019 general election.

The Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Uwakwe Ezeja, spoke on the massive wastage of lives by fulani’s herdsmen in the country and the inability of  the ruling Party, APC, to advice federal government on the best way to curtail or stop the problem.

Quoting the number of death recorded so far by herdsmen, the council boss asserted that the ruling part was supporting all the killings by the herdsmen and advice all party members, especially Christians, to avoid anything that would bring the government of APC to the local government.
