INFORMATION FOR BUSINESS PLAN

(1)             HISTORY AND ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EXISTING HOSPITAL
The John Hopewell Specialist Hospital is an expansion and offshoot of an existing clinic, The Hope Valley Fertility Clinic Limited.

The Hope Valley Clinic is an assisted conception specialist fertility centre with international collaboration providing comprehensive and confidential services of exceptional high standard to assist couples achieve pregnancy.

Our equipment is new and represents the best of German and British technology and the latest the world can offer. The above services are delivered in an environment of warmth, psychological support, understanding and unlimited access to information.

The clinic is very committed to sub-fertility treatment and we at the clinic are proud in providing the best in terms of medical and scientific laboratory personnel in the field of sub-fertility management.

The Managing Director of the unit is Dr. Michael Ogunkoya, a tested Chief Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist. He has worked and gained extensive experience in leading Teaching Hospitals in England, Wales, and Hungary. He leads as experienced team of doctors, fertility nurses, embryologists, counselors and administrative staff.

THE HOPE VALLEY CLINIC was set up and is being managed in collaboration with a team of British Fertility experts from a leading London Teaching Hospital.
Viz:
1.      Professor Ovrang Djahanbakhch, a professor of reproductive medicine and a luminary in assisted reproductive technology of St. Bartholomew Hospital, University of London – Clinical Head.

2.      Ms. Pamela Turner – Chief Scientist/Embryologist

Both of them, apart from establishing the Bridge Centre fertility unit in London some 18 years ago, have undertaken similar collaborative ventures in other countries i.e. Yugoslavia, Italy, Kuwait, Greece and Turkey. 

 The centre has fully equipped IVF/ICSI Laboratory and sonogram machines for egg recovery and blood flow studies.

(4) MARKETING STRATEGY AND CLIENT FOCUS

       ii.            Creating awareness and advocacy via T.V. appearances.
     iii.            Handbills, distribution by our marketing department.
     iv.            Referrals from our parent company, The Hope Valley Fertility Clinic.
       v.            Advocacy via delivery of lectures, participation at seminars and churches and muslims medical outreaches

CLIENT FOCUS
         i.            General public, especially those within our immediate environment.
       ii.            Organized corporate bodies who desire a standard medical facility.
     iii.            Participation in medical schemes such as HMO.
     iv.            As a specialist medical facility, we focus more on delivering specialist care while still attending to those patients with primary care needs.


(5) SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE NEW HOSPITAL
         i.            Availability of Cancer Screening facilities such as mammography.
       ii.            Availability of Digital X-ray.


(6) EXPECTED INFLOW PER MONTH
Based on my experience as a doctor of about 45 years’ experience, given this level of facilities, I would expect to make in excess of N850,000 per month in the initial six month of commencement.


(7) SOURCES OF REPAYMENT
         i.            Income from sales at the facility.
       ii.            Rental Income from facilities totaling N15,520,000 per year.
     iii.            Rental Income from other facilities due to be rented out.
     iv.            Income from the parent company, The Hope Valley Fertility Clinic Limited.


(8) OTHER INFORMATION
In addition to the above:
         i.            The Value of the collateral is in excess of N850,000,000.
       ii.            There are other landed properties whose proceeds often sale could be channeled towards any relevant needs.
