One of the richest comedians in Nigeria, Bright Okpocha, otherwise known as Basketmouth, has signed a mega music deal with United States-based record label, Empire.

The celebrated funnyman made this development know via his verified Instagram handle on Wednesday. He wrote, “Hey guys, did I mention that I have been signed by @empire? Well… I am.”

Obviously, the deal is coming after the celebrity joker’s successful album titled, ‘YABASI,’ released in 2020 and this will give him a budget, and marketing support for his upcoming projects.

Empire is an independent record label that handles music licensing and distribution and boasts a lineup of successful Nigerian artistes such as Olamide and Fireboy DML.
