How I wish all the candidates we
support could win the Anambra governorship election but unfortunately, that is
not going to happen because only one person can win. How then can an avid
supporter manage the unexpected defeat of a candidate he or she has
painstakingly supported both morally and financially? It is like a loss in
Football World Cup final. It’s usually very painful.
Many hearts shall be broken
tomorrow evening. Double losers in the contest are those who in their bid to
please some contestants or principals insulted their future destiny helpers or
future business or social allies. A lot of that happened during the campaigns.
Unfortunately, immediately after the election, the contestants shall
congratulate the winner while their supporters go home with enmity and
internecine hatred they accumulated in the service of their masters who would surely
become friends with the winner.
I advise staunch supporters of
their candidates in the Anambra governorship contest who are above 40 years and
those who have hypertension issues to please have their drugs in their pockets.
Drugs shall be handy tomorrow evening. The body may not take the impact
slightly. May no one I know develop stroke due to unexpected news arising from
the Anambra election.
May God forbid that my candidate
loses tomorrow. To mitigate a possible feeling of loss, I have ensured that I
wished that if Prof Soludo does not win let Val Ozigbo my colleague and friend
win. Any of these two outcomes would not jolt me. If it then happens that any
other candidate outside my choices wins, I will wish the victor well. Life
moves on.
By the way, being that
contestants are seeking to serve us, it is not by force. Any of them can lose.
It’s not compulsory. It’s not a contest for monarchy. Nobody should get worried
if he is not allowed to serve as a governor. The person can set up an NGO to
help the poor and the underprivileged. That is even a better service.
I hereby wish all my readers and
their candidates good luck. May your dreams come true. May your candidates do
well. It’s all a game. No hard feelings.
Till evening of November 6, 2021,
please stay safe.
