17:38-39 says, “Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not
worship other gods. Rather, worship the Lord, your God. It is he who will
deliver you from the hands of all enemies.”
How
many of you know the real meaning of verse in the bible? What is the covenant
that you should not forget? What is the meaning of other gods here? What is the
Lord your God?
This
ramification of the scripture dramatizes the fact that there is no universality
of God. In other words, there is nothing like one God.
There
are many Gods. The one peculiar to you in God (with big G). Other gods (with
small G) are not peculiar to you.
The God
peculiar to you is the God of your fathers. I am referring to the God that your
forefathers worshiped. That's the Lord,
your God. He is the God that know you very well, your father, forefathers, the
provenance of your problems and how to solve them.
He is
the God who understands your dialect very well. Before you even pray, He has
already known your heart-desire.
According
to the bible, He is the God that has the capacity of delivering you from the
hands of the enemies. This God only needs you to come back to Him and
acknowledge Him as your God.
Contrarily,
other gods that are not peculiar to you like Jewish gods, Greek gods, Roman
gods, etc do not even understand English, let alone understanding your dialect.
Those gods do not know you. They do not know your father or forefathers. They
do not understand your problems, let alone knowing the solutions. Praying to
these gods is an absolute waste of your precious time.
A lot
of Christians have been praying to these gods for decades and their life issues
are getting worse. These gods are used by your pastors just to fleece you. Do
not be deceived. These gods cannot deliver you from the hands of your
enemies. Today, return to the Lord, your
God!!
Anybody
who is not connected to his native spirituality is a destroyed person.
