view of this, the Office of the Accountant-General
of the Federation (OAGF) and the Federal
Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) hereby request that all Federal Government contractors/suppliers visit their respective
FIRS tax office to register, update and validate their corporate details.
The
requirements for this excise include:

3. Business
Address
4. Taxpayer
Identification Number (TIN)
5. Line of
Business
6. Business
bank account details (maximum of four)
7. Company BVN
8. Email
Address
9. Phone Number
(GSM)
10. Certificate
of Incorporation (Copy)
Please,
note that any person submitting these requirements must produce an
authorization letter signed by the CEO (i.e. MD, President, Vice President,
COO, CFO, GM, etc) and a means of identification with any of these: Driver’s
License, International Passport or National ID Card (NIMC).
Please,
note that this exercise is mandatory as all payment transactions to all Federal
Government contractors/suppliers from March 1, 2016 shall be based on
information provided to FIRS, which will be automatically forwarded to the
Government Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (GIFMIS)
platform for payment purpose.
