NYSC PLACES OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENTS REJECT ESUT GRADUATES FOR BEING ILLITERATES

Hmmm!!! It is no longer news that the standard of university education in Nigeria has degenerated abysmally to the extent that it is common to see graduates who find it very difficult to write or speak good English.

In some state universities, one can be offered admission without even attending secondary school. We know a good number of traders who are degree holders and they never passed through secondary schools. Award of state university degrees is fast becoming a cash-and-carry one.

Tectono Business Review gathered that recently, primary and secondary schools sent back three Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) graduates who were posted to the schools for NYSC programme. One of them who was posted to Kings College, Lagos was withdrawn because she could not write numbers 1-10 in Roman numerals.

The other one, an Engineering graduate, who was posted to a nursery/primary school in Abuja was rejected because she was found to be bereft of anything that could be useful for nursery school pupils.

Consequently, NYSC reposted her to a bakery. Investigations later revealed she had no credit pass in any science subject in her secondary school certificate. Yet, she got a degree in Engineering. One begins to wonder how she passed all her courses in ESUT. It is either she paid her way through or gave sex in exchange for pass marks.

The third was just found not to be literate at all. Hmmm!!! This country is in trouble. We gathered that the National University Commission (NUC) has started investigating this development. Yes, something has to be swiftly done to save our educational system from this imminent catastrophic doom.

Have you heard this? Many Nigerian exporters have been defrauded of huge amount of money in the process of exporting commodities to foreign countries. Do you know why? They were not trained on export operations, management, documentations and the best methods of payment in export trade. This is terrible!!! Nigerians cannot continue to lose money to foreigners in the course of export business. Exporters, why don’t you get a practical manual that teaches the stages of export trade from processing and packaging of commodities to receipt of payment by the foreign buyers. It teaches export operations, export management, export documentations and methods of payment in export trade? It is a contemporary step-by-step guide to export trade. It tells all the contemporary dynamics in export trade. To get it, click on the link below:

Hmmm!!! Folks, have you ever imagined how the financial status of your firm will be when more than 20,000 CEOs and other key decision makers of blue-chip corporations pay for your products and services or even give you very juicy deals.
