NESREA EXPLAINS WHY IT SHUT DOWN A CHARCOAL COMPANY IN ENUGU

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) has finally revealed why it decided to shutdown the multi-million naira charcoal manufacturing company in Enugu. http://www.tectono-business.com/2016/02/contemporary-step-by-step-guide-to.html

According to NESREA, the operators failed to adhere to safety and environmental standards. http://www.tectono-business.com/2017/06/gof-autos-limited-best-automobile.html Tectono Business Review gathered that the charcoal company, Kwo-Chiff Investment Limited, managed by the Chinese with three Nigerian directors, has over four workers in its employment in Obimo in Nsukka Local Council and Ikem in Isiuzo Local Council in Enugu State plants and are into charcoal production for local consumption and export to various countries of the world.

Hmmm!!! Folks, let us say the truth and shame the devil. Many Nigerian non-oil products exporters have been defrauded of huge amount of money in the process of exporting agricultural commodities and solid minerals to foreign countries. Do you know why? They were not trained on export operations, management, documentations and the best methods of payment in export trade. This is terrible!!! Nigerians cannot continue to lose money to foreigners in the course of export business. Exporters, would you like to keep on being scammed? Why don’t you get a practical manual that explains the stages of export trade from processing and packaging of commodities to receipt of payment by the foreign buyers? It explains export operations, export management, export documentations and methods of payment in export trade? Yes, it is a contemporary step-by-step guide to export trade. We were informed that instead of complying with the demands from NESREA over their operations when the factories were shut down, the Chinese managers decided to return to their countries abandoning the various Nigerian workers in their employment to their fate.

The Regional Director (South-East), Patrick Igbo, who spoke when he led officials of NESREA to the shut factories in Enugu, said that the company engaged in illegal mining operations as it refused to regularise its activities with the agency. http://www.tectono-business.com/2016/06/are-you-estate-surveyor-or-property.html

Fellow Nigerians, are you aware that our crude oil will soon become useless? Yes, it will, in no distant time, become valueless owing to the fact that the countries that rely on it as their only source of energy are developing more affordable alternative sources of energy. When this finally happens, what will we do? How are we currently preparing for this imminent economic doom? Which other sector will continue to stabilize our economy? Nigerians, the only solution is developing the agricultural sector. In fact, this is the only solution. Very soon, the major source of revenue will become agriculture and agro-exports. How are you positioning yourself to play big in agro-export business? Why don’t you get a practical manual that explains the stages of export trade from processing and packaging of commodities to receipt of payment by the foreign buyers? Yes, arm yourself with the contemporary trends in export trade. This manual explains export operations, export management, export documentations and methods of payment in export trade? Igbo made it clear that apart from failing to comply with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure, its operators were producing and exporting charcoal outside the country despite its health implications to the people and the environment. http://www.tectono-business.com/2017/06/gof-autos-limited-best-automobile.html

“They were supposed to have the EIA on ground before they kick-started operation. They did not have it. They did not have permit to produce, transport and export charcoal. Their activities impact negatively on this environment with air pollution arising from the burning which also affects the soil,” he said.

He added that they did not just seal the company but had given several notices to its managers for the firm to regularise its operations.
