The Executive Chairman of Tectono Ventures Limited,
Chief Ugwokeh Nnaemeka, has declared to contest Enugu State governorship election in the year 2027 under the platform of Labour Party (LP).

The Okemmadu of Kabong, while making the declaration today via his Facebook fan page, stated it explicitly that he has what it takes to make the people of Enugu State experience high quality governance for the first time by effecting both human and infrastructural development in the state.

“Shine on!!! The light has come. I wanna use this medium to inform my esteemed friends that I will contest #Enugu #State #governorship #election come 2027 under the platform of #Labour #Party.

“I have got the wherewithal, in all ramifications, to effect gargantuan #human and #infrastructural #development in Enugu amongst other things.

“So, get prepared for me. The world will stand still when I launch my #campaign. God is great,” Chief Nnaemeka wrote.

Tectono Business Review gathered that this declaration precipitated reactions from the people of Enugu Sate in view of the governorship zoning agreement among the three senatorial zones in the state.

The sitting governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, whose tenure will expire this year is from Enugu North Senatorial District where Chief Nnaemeka is from.

They said that who would succeed Ugwuanyi would come from Enugu East Senatorial District and when the person serves out his tenure, a governor from Enugu West Senatorial District will take over before the Tectono boss dreams of serving Enugu State as a governor.

However, another group of people are of the opinion that the zoning agreement is counter-productive and responsible for enthroning mediocrity in the governance of the state since 1999, adding that zoning should be annulled. They said that zoning is not applied in other states in the country and that is why those states are far ahead of Enugu in terms of development.

  1. If you want to serve your people, start from councilor or LG chairman. You can't just jump to Governor and expect to win
