GOV. UGWUANYI PREACHES TO ENUGU PEOPLE ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Rt. Hon. Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi
Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has called on Christians to use the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ to offer special prayers for the progress of the nation and dedicate their lives to the service of God and advancement of peace and tolerance in the country.

This is contained in a message signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Louis Amoke, which was made available to Tectono Business Review. In the message, the governor advised Christians to see Christmas as a celebration that offers them the opportunity to reflect on their relationship with God and how to use their service to humanity to fulfill his Will.

According to Chief Ugwuanyi, who is popularly known as Gburugburu, the birth of Christ which marks the beginning of salvation of mankind and power over the forces of darkness can only be appreciated if Christians can tolerate one another and dedicate themselves to things that would promote peace and the Will of God.

He noted that it was only through prayers and faith in God that the nation can surmount all her challenges and called on all and sundry to be fervent in offering special prayers for the unity and progress of Nigeria especially at this trying moment of economic recession.

He expressed hope that 2016 would be a better year owing to the efforts being made at all levels of government to revitalize the economy.
