OKECHUKWU ENELAMAH PROMISES TO CREATE ENABLING ENVIRONMENT FOR CHINESE INVESTOR

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, has made it clear that the Federal Government is committed in its policy of making industrialisation and agriculture the driving force of the economy, to generate employment and attain food security.

Dr. Enelamah made this known at a Chinese firm known as Inner Galaxy Group Factory which is located at Obuzor Ukwu in Ukwa West LGA Abia State. He said: “Our policies are pro-industrialisation. Hence, we provide the infrastructure that would propel it.”

The minister commended the Chinese firm, which has five subsidiaries and uses metal scraps to produce iron rods and others, saying: “What we saw here has reinforced our commitment to industrialisation.”

While responding to the company’s request for government support in the areas of grant of tax holiday, import wavers and N6billion loan facility, the minister, accompanied by the Managing Director of Bank of Industry Mr. Pitan Olukayode; his ministry’s Director of Industrial Development, Mr. Adewale Bakare, assured that government would give the company the necessary incentives to honour its commitments.
