General Oladipo Diya
General Oladipo Diya was the Vice President of Nigeria under General Sani Abacha’s regime. It can be recalled that Abacha’s government arrested him and charged him with treason which orchestrated his being sentenced to death. A day to the date he was supposed to be killed, Abacha died and the incoming president General Abdulsalami Abubakar granted him amnesty along with many other prisoners.

If General Abacha did not die, General Diya would have been forgotten a long time ago. God has a way of showing up at the last minute to save his people.

The main gist here is that the 77 years old General Oladipo Diya was sighted at United Africa Methodist Evangelical Church, Abule-Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos. Upon enquiry, we gathered that he has been a member of the church from birth.
