Chief Ugwokeh Nnaemeka |
On his Facebook page, the Okemmadu of Kabong wrote, “I weep for this
#country. So, #Vice #Chancellors of our #universities can throw #integrity to
the wind just because of #money? When did they condescend to this blatant level
of poverty mindset?”
The Tectono Group boss regurgitated how Tinubu merged
as the presidential candidate of APC
during the political party’s national convention where other aspirants were
busy buying over delegates, but Tinubu was buying other aspirants, in view of
his superior financial strength over other aspirants and ended up buying over
INEC during the general election.
He wrote, “What about someone
who bought over his fellow #aspirants during #primary #election, bought over
#INEC during #general #election and is already preparing to buy over #judges at
the #election #petition #tribunal and even #supreme #court? Even lawyers have
started falling on themselves to use this opportunity to make humongous amount
of money.”
In view of this development, the contemporary youths
now believe that with huge financial muscle, one can get whatever he wants in
Nigeria. It is expected that crimes and criminalities will increase in
geometric progression in the country since anybody can be bought over with money.
“Which lesson are our youngsters being
taught? That once someone is a financial cyclopean, not minding how he achieved
it, he is capable of buying over anybody in Nigeria. I weep for my country,
Nigeria,” Chief Nnaemeka concluded.
Obviously, the presidential election defied the political
lexicography of what an election should be. It was just a charade where the
electoral umpire received gargantuan bribe from an incompetent candidate and
manipulated the election results in favour him thereby enthroning mediocrity.
