Rev. Fr. Raymond Anoliefo |
November 8, 2020 will be the send-forth ceremony of the first parish priest of Saint Stephen’s catholic Church, Onike, Yaba in Lagos, Rev. Fr. Raymond Anoliefo. He was posted to the parish in the year 2015 and was transferred immediately after the COVID-19 lockdown in July, 2020. Information at our disposal has it that everything is set for the grand ceremony for the super-great priest of God which will take place immediately after the 9:00am mass in the church’s hall.
Many parishioners of the parish that felt the impact of the Anambra State-born young catholic priest have been extolling his virtues. A woman-leader, who is a staunch member of the Christian Women Association (CWO) of the church, who chose to remain anonymous, eulogized the vibrant priest. According to her, Fr. Raymond did not only do the work of a parish priest in the parish. He was very interested in the educational, career and human capital development of the youths in the parish.
She said, “When St. Stephen’s Catholic Church became a substantive parish, we prayed
seriously to God to give up a parish priest who would see to the rapid
development of the parish and parishioners. God answered our prayers by giving
us Fr. Raymond. As soon as he arrived, he started the process of developing the
parish and the parishioners. Today, many youths in the parish who were at a
cross road prior to meeting him now have so many reasons to rejoice. He is a
great counselor and humanitarian. He left inestimable indelible marks in the
parish.”
A media and real estate colossus, who doubles as the Executive Chairman of Tectono Ventures Limited, Chief Ugwokeh Nnaemeka, also spoke to newsman and poured plaudits on the reverend gentleman who is also a lawyer. The property baron who is also the Okemmadu of Kabong described the young priest as blend of scintillating intelligence, radiating gorgeousness and altruism.
“I came to Lagos in the
year 2007 in search for greener pastures. I arrived on a Saturday and the
following day, I was looking for a nearby catholic church to attend mass. The Fulani
okada rider that I approached took be straight to St. Stephen’s Catholic
Church. At that point in time, the church was still an out-station of St.
Dominic’s Catholic Church. Since then, I have been a member of the church. I must
confess that the arrival of Rev. Fr. Raymond Anoliefo orchestrated a rapid
transformation of the church, both structurally and spiritually. Despite his
very young age, he is a paragon and paradigm of wisdom and motivation. He is an
amalgamation of scintillating brilliance, radiating gorgeousness and altruism. He
is one of the most intelligent catholic priests I have ever met. He knows
virtually everything. I learnt that there is no limit to my achievement as a
man through him. If I stared enumerating what I have benefited from this very
dazzling, flamboyant and illumined young priest, we will stay here till next
week. As we celebrate him on the 8th of November
in the church, I prayer that the Almighty Father continue to bless, guide and
protect him,” Chief
Ugwokeh Nnaemeka said.
