Luke Jordan,
a Practitioner-in-Residence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's
(MIT) Governance Lab, has put together a guide to help technologists,
civic-tech practitioners, software developers, and everyone else using
technology to solve problems. The guide, named, "Don't Build It" aims
to help technologists avoid bad projects, structure their team right, and be
more effective. We have organized a session with Mr. Jordan to take us through
his free technology development guide this Thursday, 17th June 2021.

Luke Jordan is also the Founder
and Executive Director of the civic technology organization, Grassroot. This is a nonprofit startup
that enables people without smartphones to engage the government. As a research
affiliate at MIT, he is exploring how artificial intelligence and machine
learning can advance democratic governance.
