DELPHI MEDIA CONSULTING VOWS TO PURSUE N25M SUIT AGAINST NIIA

The best-selling and most sought after online business news publishers, Tectono Business Review, gathered that lawyers to Delphi Media Consulting Nigeria Limited, a media research and consulting firm, has maintained that the N25 million suit it filed against the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) over alleged plagiarism and misappropriation of sponsors funds has not been struck out, adding that it would pursue its case to logical conclusion.

Yes, it would be recalled that Delphi sued NIIA and it Director General over plagiarims and misappropriation of sponsors funds for hosting an International Brainstorming on Migration in West Africa. In a statement, the counsel to Delphi Media Consulting Nigeria Limited, Barrister Godfrey Chijioke Ndubuisi, debunked claims by the Director General of NIIA, Prof. Bola Akinterinwa, that the suit had been struck out for lack of proper representation in an interview he granted a local magazine.

In Barrister Ndubuisi’s own words: “What the DG of NIIA has done is a desperate attempt to mislead the public, particularly his employers, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by engaging obscure magazines to launch a media blitz, aimed at influencing a matter before a competent Federal High Court. We do not wish to join issues with him in his attempt to confuse issues and to mislead the public on the case of appropriating the intellectual property of our client and misappropriation of the funds provided by sponsors to an international Brainstorming on Migration and Terrorism in 2013. Our client is prepared to pursue its cause to a logical end and we advise him to allow justice to take its cause.”
