Declaring his intention on his
Facebook Page, the Chief Executive Officer of a world-class real estate
development and construction company, Total
Value Integrated Services Limited, wrote, “The time
is now. After due Consultations and Consideration, i hereby declare to Contest
for House of Representatives, Igbo Eze North and Udenu Federal Constituency
Enugu State. In God i trust.”
On a video accompanying the post
on his Facebook Page, the founder of one of the biggest charity organization in
Nigeria, COSIM Foundation, brandished
his House of Representatives form and promised quality representation which
will orchestrate communities’ development and human empowerment.
He said, “I
remain my humble self Dr. Chris Onyekachi Simon, popularly known as Don Chris,
the Mkpuruoma 1 of Ezike Oba. I am here to inform you that I will be running
for the House of Representatives to represent Igboeze North and Udenu Federal
Constituency for quality representation, for man, women and youth empowerment,
for the development of our communities and there is no way I will do this
without your support.”
The billionaire, whose company is
in charge of construction of shops in all the markets in Lagos State, therefore
solicited for the support of his constituency to make his mission a reality.
“So, please, support me
on this mission so that it will be achieved and by the special grace of God,
you will have no reason to regret supporting me. I also want to use this
opportunity to thank His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the peace
and good work he has been doing in the state. Thank you and God bless you,” he said.
It can be recalled that through
his COSIM Foundation, Don Chris has given scholarship to hundreds of indigent students.
He has also given the sum of one million naira each to virtually all the business
people in his community to scale up their businesses. He has equally awarded
the contract of constructing road networks in his community. The construction
is still going on.
If Chief Dr. Chris Onyekachi
Simon could achieve all these with his own money and without any political
power, one can imagine what he will do when he goes to the green chambers.
