DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE ILEUM AND JEJENUM

Jejenum is the middle part of the small intestines whereas Ileum is the last part of the small intestines.
 
Jejenum absorbs fully digested carbohydrates and protein whereas Ileum absorbs the non-absorbed particles from Jejenum.
 
The lumen of Jejenum is wider whereas the lumen of Ileum is narrower.
 
Jejenum is in the upper abdomen whereas Ileum is in the lower part of the abdomen
 
Jejenum is wider than the Ileum whereas Ileum narrower than the Jejenum
 
Jejenum is thick-walled whereas Ileum is thin-walled.
 
Jejenum has a simple blood supply whereas Ileum has a complex blood supply.
 
Jejenum has little fat in the mesentery whereas Ileum has more fat in the mesentery.
