In all that God created in this world, marriage is one of the oldest. In fact, it was the first human entity established by God (Gen 2: 24). At the creation of the world, the earth was without form and void and darkness was on its face, and the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters for six days. He was busy creating the beauty of the world full of happiness, joy and glory to behold.

Genesis 2:18-23 says: Then the lord said: “It is not good that a man should be alone. I give make him helper comparable to him.” But for Adam, there was no helper comparable to him. God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam and he slept, and He took one of his ribs and closed the flesh in its place. Then, the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, He made into a woman, and He brought to the man and Adam said: “This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.”

My dear husbands, what do you call your wife? Remember that the beauty of marriage begins from what you call your spouse. The framework of beauty of marriage, according to the initiator of it, started like this. He created man in His own image, in the image of God. He created them (male and female) and said to them, “be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds in the air and over every living thing that moves on earth.”

Please, anyone who is following this piece and his/her union is not experiencing the above expectations, designed for uniting man and woman should kindly follow with patience and remember his/her first time of falling in love with his/her spouse, believing that with the help of the holy spirit, their love will come alive again.
