(Let’s go and great my
friend, Hon. Emeka Madu)
Madu ka anyi ji aga
(Madu is the one we go
with)
Madu ka anyi ji aga
(Madu is the one we go
with)
Madu ka anyi ji aga
(Madu is the one we go
with)
Folks, can you recall that song? It
was sung when Hon. Emeka Madu was at
the helm of affairs in Igboeze South Local Government Area (1999-2002). Yes, Madu is really the one we go with. Now,
he is the Member representation Igboeze South Local Government Area at the Enugu State House of Assembly. In the
house, he has initiated and sponsored many successful bills. He is one of the
brightest political minds in Enugu State. When he was the Igboeze South council
chairman, he loved his councilors so much that he did all sorts of goodies for
them, in addition to his marvelously sterling achievements.
We, at Tectono Business Review,
felicitate with Rt. Hon. Chief Emeka
Madu as he marks his birthday today. He is one of the few politicians in
Nigeria that succeeded in their chosen careers before venturing into politics. He
is not a professional politician, but a professional in politics. When a professional
in politics can survive without political power, he thinks independently and
cannot be controlled by any godfather. Between 2002 and 2003, when professional
politicians in Enugu State were struggling and stooping so low to remain loyal
to any great political figure in order to remain politically relevant, Hon.
Madu thought differently. That orchestrated is decamping to Alliance for Democracy (AD) which made
it possible for him to be the governorship running-mate to the AD candidate, Chief Emeka Ezeh. We cannot forget an
interview that Hon. Madu and Chief Ezeh had with Radio Nigeria Enugu during the
build-up to the 2003 general election. He is back to the fold.
Hon. Emeka Madu, we love you from
the bottom of our heart. We can still recall the first time we met you at
Princess Alexandria Auditorium, University of Nigeria Nsukka during the wedding
reception of Ike Oloto (Okangamoo). Great
politicians from Enugu North Senatorial District like Chief Ezenwata Okechukwu Itanyi, Barrister Peter Okonkwo (Ohamadike),
Ambassador Fidel Ayogu etc also graced the occasion. Despite your amazing
wealth at a very young age, exposure and international connection, you still exchanged
pleasantries with ordinary people that met you at the event.
The world-class parliamentarian,
as you celebrate your birthday, we pray that the Almighty Father continue to
bless, direct and safeguard you. We are yet to see your best as a professional
in politics.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Signed:
Chief Ugwokeh Nnaemeka
