BANK OF RUSSIA SETS TO LAUNCH DIGITAL RUBLE PILOT TODAY, AUGUST 9

In order to unveil the beginning of the pilot operations with real digital rubles, the Bank of Russia has announced that it would hold a press conference today, August 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Moscow time.

The announcement is a remarkable step toward the country’s central bank’s digital currency vision.

It can be recalled that for a long time, the Bank of Russia has been working on developing and testing digital rubles, which would enable fast and secure transactions.

This new system is set to become the backbone of the country’s financial system.

This will further cement Russia’s position on the global stage.
